Rosemead City Council

Follow-the-Money

Can City Councilmembers truly serve ALL residents of Rosemead if they receive financing from only certain sectors of the population?

Polly Low, Steven Ly, and Sean Dang took thousands of dollars from the PM’s landlords. Polly Low and Steven Ly were on the committee that made GASP which saw PM be rezoned for future mixed use development. Sean Dang was on the planning commission when the Garvey Avenue Specific Plan (GASP) was being developed.

According to the city’s website, the city council began developing documents for GASP on May 13th, 2014. City Council adopted the final version of GASP on Feb 13, 2018. It’s also worth noting that Rosemead has a history of landlords attempting to vacate their trailer parks to redevelop their land. Since 1986, 12 trailer parks have disappeared on Garvey Ave with some getting evicted by their landlords without a permit.
