How to Use Hot Links

Hot Links is a category for posting links to the Hot Links page.

To post links, you need an account (and you need to be a member). The webmaster/s can set you up.

When posting, post THE BARE LINK, and MAYBE ONE SHORT SENTENCE OF EXPLANATION afterward. The TITLE should be explanatory with the site name and a page title. Long essays (like this post) will be deleted. People do not want to read your essay, unless forced to.

Here’s an example:

https://rosemeadtu.org/hot-links/

It’s a bare link, and you can see the URL. If WordPress tries to insert a preview, that’s OK, but it’s better if it’s just a URL.

The topic allowed are: rent control, housing issues, mobile home issues, Rosemead news related to the following, city planning, traffic and transit, parks, roads, electrical utilities (SCE), trash companies, telecom, sewer, water (the water companies), etc.

Election information is allowed, but NO CANDIDATE LINKS are allowed unless they are endorsed by the RTU. At this time, RTU does not have an endorsement process (so nobody has been endorsed). Links to propositions and other laws are allowed.

Nothing posted here should be construed as an endorsement by RTU. They are individual posts.

Nothing posted here is permanent, and will be deleted, eventually. The page length is restricted by the number of posts, and it makes sense to delete old links. If it’s important enough to keep, it should be on some other page, with some explanatory context.
